Simon Ezekiel has practiced as a commercial lawyer at RKL since his admission to practice in 2007.
Simon assists small to medium sized businesses with all of their legal needs from drafting commercial agreements to representing parties in relation to commercial disputes.
Simon’s areas of interest and growing expertise include franchising, property law and intellectual property Law.
Simon has experience in drafting franchise and licence agreements and acts on behalf Franchisors and Franchisees in relation to negotiating franchise terms and mediating and resolving franchise disputes.
Simon advises intellectual property owners and licensees in relation to their intellectual property rights and helps them to protect their trademarks, copyright, patents and designs against infringement.
Simon also acts for landlords and tenants in lease negotiations and has experience in drafting retail leases and all other agreements associated with retail tenancies. He also appears for landlords and tenants in relation to lease disputes in the retail tenancies list at VCAT.
